Brotherhood- Film trailer analysis
Brotherhood is an Urban Drama film, it is based in the UK.
The opening of the trailer uses a voice over and montage editing to show that the main characters consciences is talking, it shows few shots of the film, which doesn't reveal anything but gives a little idea of what the movie is about. The voice over synchronises with the shots as it shows different setting in the first 20 seconds.
The directors, producers and the stars name is not given in the trailer, this is because they are not well known actors and it makes the film more realistic. Watching the trailer you would mostly see long shot and jump cut, which mostly shows violence and action which goes well with the film. This film is targeted to working class teens, this is because it is relatable and a lot of drama, trouble happens during this stage of life. The Mise-En-Scene, shows that the characters are from a working class background, they do not wear formal clothing but tracksuits, it is located in a working class area as you could see a lot of local shops.
The music synchronises with the shots because they used one music by an artist known as "Chipmunk" as some of the scene has a bit of violence and the sound of the music would emphasise during those shots. The music is their throughout the trailer expect when the speak, which is a quick dialogue. This is to attract the audience to watch the film and see what happens in the film.
