10 seconds into the trailer you get a summary of the whole film, this a montage editing. You also get to see the main characters and the film title. Then 20 seconds into the trailer it is in chronological order and you get to know who the characters are. In this scene the sound of the music is calm, peaceful and shows the two main characters who are together and doing a makeover in their new home. This shows that it conforms to the convention of drama as the characters are being realistic, about a couple moving in together and decorating their new house.

The music changes when the women finds a dry blood stain on the rug. This causes tension to the audience which conforms to the convention of mystery as she doesn't know how the blood appeared on the rug. Also, the shots synchronises with the sound, this shows that the women is discovering new things that are happening in her home.

The music then speeds up, showing small snippets of the movie, this shows that she is revealing new secrets she is finding in her house that she has discovered. 

The music starts to change, showing that she has discovered the secrets that has torn her apart.

The ending of the scene is in a cliff hanger, which doesn't reveal the ending, this is because it wants the audience to watch the film and they found out what happens in the end.
