Mother- Trailer Analysis

Genre: Drama, Horror, Mystery Trailer Formalistic Convention in Mother: Quick dialogue Film title Music key scene intertitle introduces main characters montage editing production company and studio Names of the characters Date of release 10 seconds into the trailer you get a summary of the whole film, this a montage editing. You also get to see the main characters and the film title. Then 20 seconds into the trailer it is in chronological order and you get to know who the characters are. In this scene the sound of the music is calm, peaceful and shows the two main characters who are together and doing a makeover in their new home. This shows that it conforms to the convention of drama as the characters are being realistic, about a couple moving in together and decorating their new house. Meet The Crew

Director of Photography: Yasmin (Me) I responsible of making sure that the camera work matches the storyboard of the film making, through the camera, in terms of the shot, angle and Mise-en-scene. I would provide a unique visual look and how I want the audience to look at the film. Production Designer and Editor: Melanye She is responsible for the visual concept of the trailer production. This means identifying a design style for the sets, location, graphics, props, lighting, camera angles and costumes. Also, working closely with the director and producer. Director: Rosemarie The role consists of ensuring the final product is the desired trailer that the crew envisioned from the script. The responsibility of delegating each role is important to ensure that each member is participating and is briefed on what needs to be done, therefore using my organisational skills will help make time for each member in order to get the desired end product.
