Planning Production Logo

Image
As a group, we were discussing how we wanted our production name to relate to our. W e started to brainstorm some names that is associated with 'urban' and 'city' by using 'www.thesaurus.com' as a guide.  I looked at real production logos, and  liked the minimal production logos which consists of a symbol and the name underneath or above the image. As a group we have decided to pick Edgewalk as our production logo name, this is because we felt like it goes well with our genre and sounds very unique. This is the final production logo, it doesn't look like the sketch as it was difficult to create and it didn't look nice.

New Film poster and Magazine Images

Film Poster: Film Magazine: I had decided to take more pictures for my film poster and magazine because the previous one I had taken the images were not focus and looked blurry. This would have made my magazine and poster not look professional. I am glad that I had taken more pictures as they had came out perfect and would go well with my magazine and poster.

I had made minor changes to my film Poster as I didn't like the angle of the shots I had taken for my film poster.

New magazine Sketch

I had made some few changes as to how i wanted my magazine to look like. After I had taken the image for my magazine, I did not like it as it didn't go well with my old magazine sketch. Also, i had changed the name of the magazine as I liked the word "Direct" more than "Action".

Film Title- Sketches

Image
As a group we created 3 film title so we can pick which one we like. We have decided to pick the last sketch as it goes well with the story line. we had chosen this film title as the "I" is a long line representing the straight lines on the road and how the main cast is addicted to drugs.

Meeting Minutes- Title and Tagline Ideas

Trailer titles: - Denial - Helpless - Sober - Straight Lines - Breaking the habit - Under Pressure We finally came up with the decision to call the trailer, 'Straight Lines'. This would represent the urban areas through the countless roads, the housing of multiple tall flats, the lines associated with the drugs 'lining up', and the teen's ability to walk in a steadily on a straight line due to being too intoxicated. Taglines: - Do it for your future - It's time to grow up - It's about the choices you make next - You must pick the right road to get that happy ending - Dark secrets will be revealed in the light - Choose your path. Choose the right road.  The ideas surrounding these tag lines are based on achieving a better life as opposed to the struggling lifestyle that the main character portrays. We had come to an agreement to pick the third tagline as it goes well with the film title.

Magazine Layout Idea

I had decided that i wanted to add a banner to my magazine as it can show upcoming films, this will attract more audience as they can see what the film is about. Also, wanted to add a button, this can encourage the audience to buy the magazine as they can win a free ticket to the cinemas.

Audience Research: Transcript

As a group we had interviewed couple of  females, age 17-18 about their opinion on Urban Drama, this is so we can have a general idea of what people like to see in an Urban Drama film. This research is bias as i had interviewed only females, this is because during my research i found it difficult to interview males Female Interviewee- Maisha, sairah, humaira and Mumina Before we started to interview the interviewee we had told them that our film trailer genre is Urban Drama and explained our storyline and each characters who are going to be in our trailer. This is so the questions we ask them will make sense to them. 1. What do you think of Urban Drama? As a group interviewees we had gotten a reply back that they think its a great film genre as its relatable, and interesting 2. Whats your specific interest in the Stars? They had all replied back with similar answers and said that like the main character when they are funny, real to their character and close to their fa...
